Remembrance Sunday, which this year falls on 11th November, is a day for the nation to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.
This year has special significance – on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918, 100 years ago, the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years of continuous warfare during the First World War.
In St Athan the service starts at St Athan Church at 10.00am and then moves up to the monument at 10.45 for a wreath laying ceremony.
